An hour by kate chopin tells about how a woman responded to her husband death. A concend sister of mrs millard tell her of her husband death, mrs millard immaaadetly begin to wep n went of to be alone. Sitting down and thinking about his death mrs millard a feels a just feeling of freedom as she realizes that she can now live for herself and is free from the grasp of her husband. With such joy overcomming mrs millard it was that in the end wich affected her troubled heart and killed her insted of the supposenly deppsin new of her husbands death.
“The Story of an Hour” is about a woman with a fragile heart, who recieves news that her husband has died in a railroad accident. She was very devastated and was consoled by her sister and friend. When she goes off to be alone in her room she starts thinking about all the possibilities of the days ahead. She begins to think about the future with a sense of happiness knowing that now she can live the way that she wants to, not for someone else. As she returns downstairs with an uplifted spirit her husband walks into the house and proclaims that he was nowhere near the accident, startled the women dies of heart disease at that instant.
The Story of an Hour is a great short story by Kate Chopin. Basically, Mrs. Mallard had a weak heart, and kind of sick. However, Richard and Josephine tells Mrs Mallard about her husband’s death in a good way to calm her down. She was shocked, even though on the other hand, she enjoys the new life without her husband. Eventually, Mr Mallard came out of nowhere and claimed that he wasnt dead and Mrs Mallard had a sudden heart attack.
“The Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin is a short story that surrounds the final hour of Mrs. Mallard’s life and the events within that time. In the story, Mrs. Mallard, who has heart problems, is informed that her husband was killed in an accident, informed by her sister and her husband’s friend. She weeps for the death of her husband, and she encloses herself in a room where she thinks to herself about the days to come. While she is initially in sorrow, she soon comes to realize the fact that the remaining days of her life will be dedicated to her and no one else; living to do what she wants, not for another. Soon after realizing this new found freedom and will to live, she is startled by the sudden appearance of her husband, who didn’t actually die, but was else where when the accident occurred. Immediately after, she dies and the doctors say that she died from the joy of knowing her husband was alive, when ironically she died from depression knowing he was not dead.
“The Story of an Hour” by Chopin is about how in an hour women life changed from sadness to joy, and than lead to her death. When Mrs. Mallard’s husband died in a railroad disaster, she realized that she became free. Plus, that all her life with Brently Mallard, she was pushed around by him. After, those news she start to enjoy her freedom, she saw how the world was different, more beautiful without her husband. However, when she saw her husband alive and realized that all this was a mistake, her heart stopped and she died.

When Mrs. Mallard discovers this news she is hit with different emotions at once: sadness, desperation, and joy. She starts to feel a sense of freedom she apparently didn’t have before. In the end Mr. Brently walks back into her life, which ends hers. The other characters saw her death as “the joy that kills”, but in actuality Mrs. Mallard dies because of the shock of seeing her husband alive as a end to that freedom she held a gasp of.
The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin is about a woman named Mrs. Mallard who goes a little out of control on hearing the news of her husband Mr. Mallard. In front of Josephine, Mrs.Mallard’s sister and Richard, a friend, Mrs. Mallard sobs and grieves over her husbands death. But later when she closes herself into her room and starts to think of the new freedom that she has gotten after her husbands death, she thinks of how her days will be spent all to herself and will do what she wants to do without her husband. However, when all of a sudden Mr. Mallard walks into the house and explains that he was nowhere near the train station when the accident occurred & wasn’t aware that an accident had taken place. When Mrs Mallard saw her husband she has an heart attack and dies. The doctors say that she died of a disease called “joy that kills”, which we can say is that she suddenly realizes she lost her newly found freedom which she recently found a little while ago.
In this short story the main character, Mrs.Mallard’s husband died in railroad accident. Mrs.Mallard has a bad heart. When her sister told her what happened Mrs.Mallard was depressed. She went into her room and started seeing things like something was going to possess her. Mrs.Mallard felt the feeling of freedom. Then Mr.Mallard came home and everyone found out he wasn’t dead. Mrs.Mallard died from heart disease after seeing her husband at the door.

Mrs.Mallard’s sister, Josephine and her husband’s best friend,Richard informed Mrs.Mallard about the death of her husband. They believed that Mr.Mallard died in a railroad accident. When Mrs.Mallard first heard the news, she was in grief but after she realized that she’s free and start a free/new life; she was overwhelmed with exictment.This story is ironic because after Mrs.Mallard found happiness, her husband reappears and she dies of a heart attack. “The joy that kills,” she died of shock not happiness.
“The Story of an Hour” is about what can be assumed as a middle age woman and her husband. Mrs.Mallard’s sister, Josephine, and her husbands best friend, Richard come to inform her of some horrific news. It has seemed that her husband Mr.Mallard has died. It seems that he was killed in a railroad accident. When she first received the news of course she was filled with an abundant of emotions. She felt pain, heart ache, sadness, she greieved. But after a while she realized being that her husband has passed she would be able to start a new life and she was filled with excitement. This story is filled with irony because in the end she finds out her husband hasn’t really passed away it was all a misunderstanding. From finding out this information she dies of a heart attack. The irony is at the end of the story there’s a qoute that says the “Joy that Kills”. She didn’t die of excitement what caused her death was the shock of the truth.
The short story “Story Of An Hour” takes place in a house during the 18 century. Mrs. Millard is a woman who is unsure of the love she has for her husband. She has a severe heart problem that is known to all the characters throughout the story. She learns of her husbands death through a friend Richard. He broke the news of the railroad disaster gently in hopes that he would not effect her sick heart.
Mrs. Millard cry’s alone in her room softly then hysterically in a almost confused manner as she gazed outside the window. A weird feeling of death over comes her that touches her in a more acceptant way, rather then fear. Her sister discovers her by the window and tells her to move in fear that she will continue to get ill. As Mrs. Millard reaches out to hold her sister, Brently Millard entered the house unaware of the false news that already has spread throughout the house. Mrs. Millard recognizes him as Josephine tired to block her view from seeing her husband. Mrs. Millard died at the sight of her husband. According to the doctors she died from “the joy that kills”.

Mrs. Mallard went into her room and starts crying, and constantly saying the word free, and said many things symbolize a new start. However, after Mrs. Mallard went downstairs and found out his husband Brently Mallard came back and caused fatal shock to Mrs. Mallard. The doctor examined and said Mrs. Mallard was died from a heart disease, of the joys that kills. The story is basically about a woman who is being married to a man she experience problems. Because Mrs. Mallard thought her husband is dead already that shocked her to find out her husband is still alive.
